This week brought lots of new launches, some hotly anticipated, some not so much. Samsung Galaxy II is certainly in the first category though. Vodafone has brought Galaxy II to the market and it is available for free with a two year contract. Though, you will need to pay £40 per month for enjoying the power of this Android Gingerbread sporting phone. This monthly plan will cover you for 900 minutes of talk time and 750 MB worth of data.

Samsung Galaxy II is one of most talked about phones, but still, if you are somehow not aware of its specifications, then here they are for you. The phone sports generous 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen and comes packed with 1.2 GHz dual core processor. With mere 8.49 mm thickness, the phone wouldn't be heavy on your pocket despite its spacious screen.

O2 and Three are already offering the phone, but if you are on Vodafone network, then your time has arrived. Vodafone offers various rental plans, but it still does not beat O2 packages, which start from £13.50 with 24 months contract. Vodafone, on the other hand, is offering £25 per month contract plan, but you will need to pay £300 up front. However, with this plan, your monthly free talk time quota would be restricted to mere 100 minutes and the data usage will be limited to 500 MB.
