TomTom Comes to the iPhone

One the opening day of Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) there was a great announcement from TomTom, the in-car GPS navigation company. The TomTom software is coming to the iPhone!

Linux foundation chew the FAT.

Recently, it may have come to your attention that Microsoft and TomTom, the satnav maker, have reached a settlement over a patent dispute. The dispute revolves around the FAT file system, and it’s use in the TomTom’s Linux based OS. Microsoft said that the use of this file system infringed their patent, and so to court.

Review: TomTom XL V2 GB. Innovative Design.

TomTom have gone back to the drawing board with the TomTom XL V2 GB and produced a widescreen Sat Nav with innovative design features (including a foldable suction cap) and TomTom’s usual high quality navigational technology. It’s usually priced a bit too high for my liking, but we’ve gone out and found a good Christmas deal with this particular model.
