Lucky PS3 owners have today received a firmware upgrade and thus another way to argue that their console is better than their friend's 360. When you next pop your Sony console on, you should be running version 3.50.
This means 3D Blu-ray support. That's right, one minute you had Blu-Ray, the next you have 3D Blu-ray, get to BlockBusters and rent a load of 3D discs. Or if you don't have a 3D TV, which you probably don't, then not to worry, you've got some other features to look forward to.
Such as, Facebook Integration. According to Sony "Developers will be able to create PS3 games that have more interaction with Facebook. Once compatible PS3 titles are available, PS3 users can choose to access public information on Facebook - including user name, profile, uploaded photos and friends list - to enhance their gameplay experience" interesting.
What else?, the not so exciting, Grief Reporting Function: "Users can send claim reports directly from the XMB for any inappropriate messages they receive from other PlayStation Network users. This feature is accessible from the option menu of the messages list in the FRIENDS category." It's great that Sony are keeping their customers safe online. So if you're getting 'grief' you'll be pleased to see this new addition to you're PS3.
