The latest browser figures which have just been released are showing that the dominance of IE has been eroded further with Firefox the main opponent and Safari and Chrome the bubbling away in the background. Mozilla is hoping that their market-share will increase further with the release of Firefox 3.5 which, since its debut, has been downloaded nearly 14 million times.

Dell has released a new business-minded ultraportable laptop the Vostro 1220. With a compact 12.1 inch screen and weighing 1.52kg the Vostro 1220 makes an easy travel companion. The 12.1in Widescreen WXGA (1280 x 800) display means the Vostro isn’t a netbook but the small size and weight makes it a small laptop aimed specifically at small businesses and those who travel a lot.

Shuttle Strips-down X50 to the Bones

Shuttle has released a “barebone” version of their all-in-one touch screen mini PC the X50. The dual-core processor Intel Atom powered X50 is a 15.6 inch all-in-one PC with touchscreen and carry handle. All this comes in shell that is only 36mm thick.

“Barebones” means that you decide for yourself which components should be installed in the All-in-One-PC. You need to buy a 2.5″ hard drive, add some memory, install them in the X50 and you are up and running.
