Amazon.com has released a free Kindle application for the PC with a promise to release a Mac version soon. For those who aren’t familiar with the Kindle, it started out as an electronic book reader about the same size as a large novel. It has a crisp easy to read black and white display and can download books from Amazon’s Kindle store. The PC version allows you to read books from the Kindle store on your PC and, if you have one, also sync with your Kindle.
When trying to justify your new PC you will probably tell everyone you need it for business use or schoolwork or to further your studies, but secretly you might just want it to play games! If you are going to spend the money you need to make sure that you get a good gaming PC. Here is some advice on how to pick a machine that can blast those aliens with the best of them.
Shuttle has released a “barebone” version of their all-in-one touch screen mini PC the X50. The dual-core processor Intel Atom powered X50 is a 15.6 inch all-in-one PC with touchscreen and carry handle. All this comes in shell that is only 36mm thick.
“Barebones” means that you decide for yourself which components should be installed in the All-in-One-PC. You need to buy a 2.5″ hard drive, add some memory, install them in the X50 and you are up and running.
