Samsung has unveiled a new mobile phone that can be charged by the power of the sun. The Samsung E1107 looks like a normal mobile phone but when you flip it on its back it has a solar panel.

Microsoft has announced via the Windows 7 Team Blog that Windows 7 will be released on October 22nd. This is a lot quicker than some people expected as Microsoft had previously announced that Windows 7 would be released in 2010.
Apple has released an upgrade to their ubiquitous iTunes software which is used by iPod and iPhone owners to sync music, video, photos, contacts (and much more) between their PC or Mac and their iPod/iPhone.
As well as small bug fixes and the odd security update the main purpose of iTunes 8.2 is to add support for iPhones or iPod touches with the iPhone 3.0 Software. The iTunes update is a little under 80MB and shouldn’t be a problem for users with broadband.
