First leaked shots of the Nokia 5900 XpressMusic

First-look images of what is purported to be a Nokia 5900 XpressMusic handset are now causing a stir online.nokia5900duo-3

The photos were posted on Chinese website PCOnline and would appear to be genuine though no official announcement of such a device has been made yet.

The Nokia 5900 would seem to be following on from the 5800 in using the S60 5th edition OS but one of the things that bothered me by the 5800 is the chunky feel, thankfully if the pictures are to be believe this one seems to carry a low-fat form factor compared to the 5800.

Other technical specs are unavailable right now, and naturally with the 5900 XpressMusic being thus far undisclosed by the Finnish mobile maker they’re keeping schtum too, but judging by the pics the handset will be available in at least 2 colours.

Hopefully Nokia will do the right thing and include this as part of the Comes With Music-inclusive handsets to aid its flagging service, although we think it’s more likely that we’ll see the 5800 move to the CWM just as soon as the 5900 is readying for launch.

We’ll bring you any updates on this as we get them, but for now we can’t wait to find out more about the evolution of the XpressMusic range.

Stay tuned.
