With their television expertise, Toshiba are bringing us a top quality touchscreen smartphone, due to hit stores this summer.
Toshiba claim they have listened to feedback and have provided consumers with what they want - a touchscreen, with more power and better battery life.
In fact, it's the slimmest touchscreen announced at just 9.9mm. It boasts a large, high quality 4.1" VGA (800x400pixel) display and features a virtual track-pad for on-screen navigation.
It is the first to use Qualcomm's Snap Dragon Processor, running at 1Ghz, with low power consumption for long lasting battery life.
It comes packed with HSDPA 3G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, with a 512MB internal memory and microSD slot for expansion.
It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, comes with Office Mobile, full Flash and DIVX support and all the other features you would expect from Windows Mobile.
It also features what Toshiba are calling a 'G-sensor', rather than an accelerometer. This apparently allows you to tilt the phone around a central spot.
I would imagine the TG01 to be at the top end of the price range, however Toshiba have stated that the price will be "very competitive".
I love the look of the TG01 with it’s super-slim design and large screen. And it sounds like it’s packed full of top quality features. Only thing is… a 3.2megapixel camera?! Hmm… we want more!
The TG01 will be on show at Mobile World Congress in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait to find out more!

This is going to be “hell of a phone”. I just can’t wait reviews about it. If it is going to be good, it will be the time to say bye bye to my Nokia N95.
