Tom Cruise may have popularised the idea of virtually moving items on a wide screen at the wave of his hand, but how cool would you be if you could apply that theory to everyday things in life? Like moving that car that parallel parked you in, just by nudging the air in front of it?
Well the guys at HP have obviously spent many an hour lying awake at night over this as well, as they’ve just released a video putting this concept into practice. Check it out:
The viral is part of HP’s focus on design and on its different range of Touch Series.
HP have said in the past that it’s working on a range of products that use the same type of finger-tapping interface that is on the Apple iPhone.
HP very recently unveiled a new TouchSmart PC series which allows you to access everything on your PC by touching the screen. Yes, that means there’s no need for a keyboard or a mouse and therefore marks the end of hideous mouse pads.
This new series comes with a built in webcam and microphone so it still every bit as functional as an ordinary computer.
It is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and has a 22-inch diagonal high definition widescreen display, perfect for an action movie like, say, Mission Impossible 3…
This new technology really looks like the way of the future, and it will be very interesting to see how HP will continue to apply it to their future releases.
