First Look: Dane-Elec to Release a Digital Pen

If you’re like me and are always getting fed up with your pens running out of ink right when you need them or those gruesome ink stains ruining all those new lovely shirts you have just brought, then you might want to take a look at this ingenious idea by Dane-Elec. They might have just developed the product that will save you all that time spent scrubbing those stains, with the release of its new Zpen.

What's a Zpen I hear you ask? Well, its a basically a wireless scanner that when used as you would as normal pen, scans your handwriting and then allows you to upload it to your PC/Laptop through the use of Word or PDF format.

Ok, so you may look silly in those meetings writing away with nothing appearing, making your boss think you have finally snapped under the pressere and will be ringing the doctors to come round with the straight jacket when you have finished your shift. However, after you show him this clever little pen, I bet he will be jumping at the chance to get his hands on one of these gadgets.

For a tiny little pen, it stores a massive 1GB Flash built in memory and with the text being scanned as being so small, this pen should in theory be able to store an entire library of text so those 1000 page reports should be no problem…if you hand can handle writing that much of course!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
