Acer Aspire 5315 Laptop Review: One for the Office

Overview

Kitting out your office with the right equipment, such as PCs or laptops can be time consuming and expensive. So when Acer decided to show off their 5315 Aspire laptop, perfect to suit all office needs I had to a have a little closer look to see if this laptop was worthy enough to be part of our second lives; work.

Review

At a price that won’t burn holes in you pockets, this laptop offers the office user a powerful machine that can run any of the office styled applications comfortably. However in a nutshell, that's about it for this laptop. Due to its spec, this laptop will not be able to run anything 3D design wise and unless your a huge solitaire fan this laptop is a definite no go gaming wise (with the exception of Pong)

With its built-in DVD writer, this laptop can easily record all your important files to DVD without running into any problems whatsoever. Plus it’s able to play a DVD while you're on the train to that important meeting and thanks to the sound card, the sound quality should be top notch.

Only weighing in at 2.8kg this laptop, this is extremely light and shouldn’t cause you any back problems while your running to get that late train or make you feel sorry when you accidentally hit that women who got in your way either.

The Gaj-It Verdict

Design 8/10
Usability: 10/10
Features: 6/10
Value: 6/10

We Say

Ultimately, this is a laptop for the business user. Pure and simple but don’t be expecting to do anything on this laptop apart from Internet and Office activities.

  • Acer has shown his class with a product Aspire. Notebook cheap but fast enough and not too hot. His design is also pretty and not monotonous.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
