Whilst the tax has shown modest cuts, eBay might be the ones to pip it, i.e. Be the perfect present for a bargain Christmas. eBay has seen moderate share prices plummet in the summer and saw them rise again. Now with Christmas just around the corner, it looks unlikely that people are able to afford an, expensive Christmas.

With a market worth over £17 billion and growing, eBay is one of few companies that are thriving on the “credit crunch.” eBay has set up useful tools, which enable user to find out expert advice on, how to create HTML pages, setting up a shop, bookkeeping and much more. Now most of you would not come to terms, that there is still money to be made in eBay, but is there?

The once “must” have item of this year – the iPhone. Although you would assume it is expensive, even with prices dropping over time, but now you can buy a 1GB tri-band mini iPhone for under £100. Nevertheless, be careful because prices can soon be “hyped” up too. Many eBayers have reported that “price” booms have been shaking the shops. This means, every time you think you are getting a deal, on the last “DS Lite,” well you’re not! Sources suggest that shops are capitalising on limited stock and therefore, when you could buy, the exact same Nintendo DS in Argos – with two games and a few spare stylus’s – For under £100, you might be paying ten, fifteen or even more, over the odds. So eBayers, my advice is happy shopping, but do not panic buy!

With PayPal, suggesting that profits have soared, and transactions increased 34% since last year, it certainly makes you think “what credit crunch?” With daily transactions totting over £10m, breaking PayPal's records – in just one weekend. £15 Million, was taken on a Friday and then £18 Million on the following Monday. Business good as usual then?

Also, if your one of few, lucky minority to have snapped up eBay’s “£1 Christmas promotions,” then count yourself lucky. eBay’s promotional offer has been netted by hackers, planting bots inside the systems, to catch these offers as soon as their released. The gifts included, Iron man on Blu-Ray and DVD, Train sets, or luxury days out. But let's face it, we can live without these items, as I assume, eBay is scrapping its new promotion.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
