Last week was the consumer launch of the BT PodShow, an online-entertainment network hosting over one million hours of award-winning entertainment available to download anytime, anywhere, on any device, including iPods and MP3 players.
BT PodShow allows users to collect and share their favourite videos and music, upload their own unique content and build an entourage of friends at the click of a mouse. To put it more simply, its YouTube, Facebook and iTunes rolled up into one.
In recent weeks we’ve been getting more invites to these exclusive tech events which is great but sadly we couldn’t attend this event. I was a bit gutted about it as it was celeb filled with the likes of Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey), Konnie Huq, Samantha Janus, Sandi Thom, James Walsh (Starsailor), and Gail Porter to name just a few.
To ensure that we didn’t miss out completely, the guys at BT kindly sent me lots of pics and goss from the event which I will include after I have given you a summary of shows that the btpodshow.com lists.
I’m crazy about podcasts and I will soon create another post about my favourite podcasts but for now let’s have a look at how the BT PodShow has something for everyone:

The 'tight-lipped' British stereotype appears to have been forgotten in favour of a more voyeuristic nation, according to revelations made by Dr. Cockney – International Sex Therapist in his latest online show.

For comedy . . .
OJ Borg brings comedy to the mix with his Monty Pythonesque insight into the weird and wonderful people that grace the globe in his show 11th Commandment: Thou Shalt Entertain Us. Whatever the pursuit, OJ loves to get involved – from luging down mountains to running away from the police or dressing up in drag and being beaten up by a cage fighter! You can find it here.
For the pick of the podcasts"¦
If the pure extent of content is blowing your mind and you can't choose what to watch, let sexy Brainiac babe and mistress of the podcasts, Josephine Laurence come to your rescue. Each week in her show Podfinder UK, Josephine searches the network for the most innovative picks from the world of podcasting and video blogging ranging from the truly off the wall, to the surreal, relaxing and funny. You can find it here.
You can subscribe to these shows and they will download straight to your MP3 player or iPod. A variety of new shows will be available in BT PodShow in 2008 including a cooking show, a gossip insider and entertainment programme and a topical sports round-up show.
More about the event
The event was held at Shoreditch House, London and with a set of unruley celebs attending the event there was bound to plenty of gossip in the midst…
Tara Palmer Tomkinson over-indulged as she had to be helped out of the venue assisted by an organiser who she repeatedly insisted had a 'naughty face' in an overly-flirtatious manner. The shocked gay PR guy was forced to take shelter behind the reception desk to avoid Tara's advances.
Socialite Alice Dellal caused havoc after smashing a wine glass on the floor, her attention seeking antics culminated in her being caught in a toilet cubicle with
a unknown man.
TV's Gail Porter made her presence known by barging her way through to the bar, she demanded to be served immediately. But her partying took its toll, as she had to be held upright by party organisers as she waited for her car at the end of the night.
Overall it seemed like a pretty good bash. Here’s some pics..

Great post Gaj.
It’s a shame you couldn’t have got yourself down to the event and got some undisclosed pics of the celebs so we could have had a giggle :-)
looks like a good bash
He he I was there! It was a very good night ;-) Where did you find the pics? I want to see if I’m in any!
How lucky are you, free booze and the red carpet treatment, seems like I missed out – unfortunately I have to work otherwise I would have loved to have gone too.
Do you need to see the pics to remind yourself of what you were upto? ;)
I got sent those by BT so I don’t have anymore, sorry. We keep missing each other at these events though.
