Virgin America Salutes Steve Jobs with 'Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish' Logo

Steve Jobs departed this world this last year and the tributes have been pouring in since then. Among other things, Jobs now also has his own bronze statue and now Virgin America has decided to give Jobs a flying tribute. According to Cnet,  Virgin America has emblazoned Steve Jobs' quote 'Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish' on its Airbus A320 aircraft. The quote has been placed beneath the cockpit of the plane.

The quote 'Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish' has been taken from Stanford commencement speech delivered by Steve Jobs in 2005. Abby Lunardini, a Virgin America spokesperson said, "The ‘Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish’ aircraft name was actually submitted as a tribute to Mr. Jobs by one of our employees in an internal plane naming competition.”

Apart from gaining tech cred, Virgin America now also has the distinction of being the first airline company to offer fleet wide Wi-Fi. The company is based out of Silicon Valley and currently is the only airline in the area. Virgin America claims to follow the lead of Steve Jobs and said, "The idea behind Virgin America was to reinvent the travel experience by thinking differently about design and service-we are known for the tech-forward amenities we offer onboard."

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
