Sony Ericsson is finally bidding adieu to its native sync service. According to a notice released by the company the Sony Ericsson sync service was developed keeping in view the older phones and the technology is not capable of serving new high End phones and hence is the service is being phased out. It has recommended Google Sync Service as a viable alternative. The company website states, "As an alternative to Sony Ericsson Sync service, we recommend you to use the Google Sync service for a more integrated experience in line with the favorite range of Google Mobile Services like Google Voice Search, Google Maps and YouTube."

Though Google Sync Service got the top endorsement status, other services recommended by Sony Ericsson are UNYK and Plaxo. You can also keep using any other syncing service. Sony Ericsson Sync Service is scheduled to go out of commission on December e9th. The company has also provided detailed instructions for the smooth transition. Sony Ericsson said that the transition will allow the users to enjoy their handsets in more comprehensive way. So, are you going to miss Sony Ericsson Sync Service.
