Google is finally all set to release a native iOS app for its wildly popular Gmail. It is expected that the app will come with push
notification. According to the rumors, the app is not only final and complete, but has already been submitted to Apple for approval.
Until now, iOS users had to use third party apps or browser for accessing Gmail on their devices. With this app, you will be able to avoid the hassle of using clunky third party apps. The new dedicated app will also let you flag the messages. Since, Google is now on the overdrive to promote its social venture Google+, it is expected that the Gmail app will be integrated with social networking site. Google has already integrated Google+ with Google Reader. The app will also have search function and threading feature.
Apart from these features, you can also look forward to other features like Priority Inbox filtering and one click flagging. Google recently revamped its Gmail UI and it looks like that the app would contain most of the new features. The new developments may also lead to the revamp of Android app for Gmail. The iOS app is rumored to be under review by Apple for its inclusion to iTunes Store, but we are almost sure that the app would be able to pass the test. So, just a little more wait for the app!
