Is Apple Working on 15" MacBook Air?

If rumors are to be believed then the Cupertino company is looking to add yet another model to its super-skinny notebook range. The new model will be bigger, but equally skinnier with a 15" display.  However, this is not the first time, such rumors have surfaced. The latest wave of speculation has been fanned by Japanese site Macotakara, which has pointed out that an ultra thin 15" display is being developed and that this display is meant to be used for MacBook Air.

The current crop of MacBook Air comes in rather mini sizes of 11" and 1e", so it is logical that the company would be looking to add a more conventional 15" notebook for expanding the market for ultrathin, ultra light notebooks. Besides, earlier this year, Apple bid adieu to its MacBooks model, which may very well be the sign of the things to come. The company is also making constant improvements in its MacBook Air range to make it more palatable to the users.

15" model was rumored to be in testing phase in July this year. The latest rumors suggest that the new machine has now finally hit the production stage. Some reports also claim that the new machine in making is not actually MacBook Air, but a much thinner MacBook Pro. This may also be true, as the company recently updated its MacBook Pro range with faster processors and better graphic chips. The new MacBook Pro laptops now also feature bigger hard drives. The company, however, kept the prices intact.
