Kindle Fire has widely been dubbed as an iPad Killer. Though, the low price tablet is nowhere near challenging iPad, but it has certainly carved a niche for itself, thanks to its aggressive pricing. But now Kindle Fire is going to get its own nemesis in the form of B&N Nook Color 2, which is rumored to be launched on November 7.
Nook Color is already quite popular among the masses as a quasi-tablet, which runs on Android and has its own dedicated app store. The new model will be launched just before the shipment date of Kindle Fire, which is November 15. Though, there is not much information about the specs of the new tablet, but it can be easily surmised that it would have been designed keeping in view Kindle Fire. Also it has been reported that major B&N stores are being spruced up to accommodate the new tablet.
B&N had earlier been rumored to be working on a sub-$350 tablet. Allegedly, the tablet is named Acclaim. Barnes & Noble is also said to be going ahead with its tablet ambitions. The new Nook Color 2 is likely to be priced $249, same price as that of Nook Color. So, what would be your wish list for Nook Color 2? Keep watching this space for more updates.
