As the time for iPhone 5 launch is drawing near, the rumors surrounding the iDevices are also getting more and more interesting.
Though, it is not the first time, but the speculation about 3G capable iPod Touch is really gaining steam. This rumor further begs you to consider whether iPhone 5 would come with 4G capabilities. It is also being speculated that Apple may release a white color iPod Touch as well.
According to AppleNApps, Apple is now fervently pushing its iCloud offering and thus adding a 3G radio chip to iPod Touch makes sense since it would allow the users to remain connected to their data on go. Among the things that the new generation iPod Touch is not expected to get is the voice capability. Earlier this year, there were also rumors of MacBook Air getting a 3G chip.
iPhone 5 on the other hand is likely to come with a powerful 8 MP camera. The Internet is abuzz with a couple of leaked snapshots which allegedly have been taken with the yet to be released phone’s in-built camera. This nugget of information has been collected by PocketNow and is already being questioned by industry experts. PocketNow has previously been burned by a similar bogus picture.
The new picture in question was reportedly taken by an Apple Engineer while having his lunch and the picture’s EXIF data shows the stats which are far superior to iPhone 4 camera. This new piece of information nicely dovetails with earlier reports of Apple reaching out to lens manufacturers like Genius Electronic Optical and Largan Precision. In fact, inclusion of a more powerful camera is one of the most persistent rumors surrounding the upcoming phone.
Apple is likely to hold a launch event in October. It is also expected to release new generation iPod Touch as well.
