Toshiba-Fujitsu to Launch First Mango Phone in September

Microsoft finally released Windows Phone 7.5 to manufacturers and the announcement was quickly followed by Toshiba-Fujitsu's statement about the first Mango Phone. Though, in stark contrast to deliciously named OS, the phone itself has been christened as IS12T. The phone prototype has strikingly good looks and let's hope it has tech muscles as attractive as its looks. The phone is not only the first Mango phone but also would be the first phone in Japan running on Windows OS.

As for its technical specs, this 3.7 inch phone will have WVGA display, which is capable of 480×800 pixel resolution and a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor under its hood. The phone packs 32 GB of storage along with powerful 13.2 MP camera. The phone will run both on CDMA and GSM protocol. Though, the phone may look a bit too flashy, but it is equally sturdy thanks to its waterproof and dustproof body. Apart from this, it has usual features such as Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone measures 118 x 59 x 11 mm and weighs 113 grams.

The phone is being manufactured by Toshiba-Fujitsu, which is the end result of merger of mobile phone units of Fujitsu and Toshiba. The phone is likely to be launched in September and would b be available only in Japan.
