Samsung now has a big family of Galaxy tablets, all with different screen sizes and specs and it has just expanded its brood by launching a new variation. Though, one of the best selling non-Apple tablet, Galaxy Tabs are no match for iPad, but Samsung is not giving up and believes that the new one will put up a stiff fight with The Original Tablet.
The latest tablet released by Samsung runs on Android Honeycomb 3.1 operating system. This 10.1 inch tablet is being touted as the thinnest tablet in the world with the girth of mere 8.6 mm. While the company will still continue with its smaller tablets, but it said that the new tablets are meant for better consumption of multimedia while the smaller tablets were more focused on portability. 7-inch Galaxy Tablet is currently the second best selling tablet in the UK, behind Apple iPad.
Samsung is looking to grab some market share from Apple, which is probably a more pragmatic move than to try killing the Titan altogether. So far, none of the tablets in the market have succeeded in giving a decent challenge to Apple, let alone 'killing it'. The new tablet will have the base price of $634 in its home country South Korea and is expected to hit the markets in August.

I’m sure it’ll do just as well as the original Galaxy (bomb).

It will put up a fight against the original tablet, unfortunately for Samsung, Apple have superseded the iPad with the iPad2.
Any company who has released a tablet is just copying Apple anyway. Before the iPad, all the tablets were just touch screen PCs, not very popular at all. Apple proved the market and all the scavenging sh*te hawk companies swoop in and copy the idea.
Apple is well in the lead as they started developing the iPad 2 years before we saw the first one. I can’t see any companies catching up for a long time.
All these Android copies are either under powered or over priced, simply because Apple sell so many iPads that they get a lot of bulk discounts. Other companies can’t sell a tenth of the iPad so don’t have so many made which means less discount which means poorer spec or higher price.
Don’t even get me started on the baron wilderness of the Android store.
