We know Facebook are worried about Google+ Yesterday we told you that the social networking kings had banned a user from advertising his Google+ account. But how worried are Facebook? Twitter and Facebook are co-existing without any problems (they are two completely different services.) But when it comes to Facebook and +, is this town big enough for the both of them?

It's easy to see Facebook as untouchable, Zuckerberg is one of the most influential men on the planet, Facebook has millions of users and a film it is firmly embedded in popular culture, but it could easily bomb just like Myspace. I don't know how your Facebook accounts are looking, but mines not to healthy, the general feel is that people are bored of seeing what the friends are having for lunch.

Weiner said: “You introduce Google+, where am I going to spend that next minute or hour of my discretionary time? I have no more time.”

He continued: “Unlike social platforms and TV, which can coexist, you don't see people using Twitter while they're using Facebook, or using Facebook while they're using LinkedIn.”

That doesn't seem quite right to me. But Foresee CEO Larry Freed surmised the rivalry more sensibly: “Facebook is clearly king right now, but if anyone can knock it off its throne, it would be Google.” It's as simple as that.

Interestingly enough a customer satisfaction survey from ForeSee seems to back-up my claims of a Facebook fatigue. The website ranked last among all websites in the Social Media category including sites like Youtube, Wikipedia, Twitter, and Myspace.

So, what do you think? Who will win?

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
