Sony Experia Pro UK Release Delayed Until October?

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro will come to the UK rocking a 3.7 inch touch-screen, 1GHZ Snapdragon Processor, an 8 megapixel camera, a QWERTY keyboard and a revolutionary way to type with 'Type & Send' and 'Smart Keyboard,' sounds good doesn't it? But the question is when is it coming out?

In the classic Android-smartphone way the Xperia Pro is refusing to stick to a launch day. The handset was expected in July, it's now June and there is no sign of release, but plenty of threads started by annoyed Sony Ericsson fans demanding to know when they will get a taste of the pro.

Unfortunately the outlook doesn't look good for those who have their eye on the new member of the Xperia family as The Carphone Warehouse has changed the 'coming soon' status to October. Are they playing safe or do they know something we don't? Most other networks and stores are sticking with the ambiguous 'coming soon' banner.

Not only that but there's no explanation for the delay which makes it a bit harder to stomach. I've said this before, I'll say it again. Consumers seem to get more angry about the way delays are dealt with rather than the actual delays themselves.

It's even more dangerous to be messing around with a phone that's aimed at Business customers. Alan Sugar wouldn't stand for this.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
