Amazon Augments Cloud Drive: Provides Unlimited Music Storage Space

Cloud computing is the hottest tech segment and the competition is getting more and more intense. Like every other field, where fiercer competition leads to better products and services, cloud computing is also bringing around sweeter deals for the consumers. Amazon is one of the bigger and older players in the segment and is currently facing the heat of competition from Apple. No wonder, it is now stepping up its game and is in the process of revamping its Cloud Drive.

First off, Amazon is trying to lure new customers by offering unlimited music space. However, it would be applicable only for the limited time. However, if you buy your music from Amazon MP3 music store, then you can keep your purchases on Cloud Drive for free and these items would not be counted against your storage quota. Amazon has also released its Cloud Player for iPad. So now, you can access your Amazon music library from your iPad as well. Earlier, the library was accessible through Android devices and PCs. Cloud Player is now compatible with Safari browser too.

Amazon had launched its Cloud Drive and Cloud Player in March this year and with the latest updates, these services are now accessible through Android devices, PCs and Apple devices. It offers 5 GB of free space and if you have bigger library then you can opt for paid plans starting from $20 a year.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
