iPhone 5 Pictures Show Off Bigger Screen And New Camera

News of the new iPhone 5 seems to be gaining traction more and more lately we have previously announced that the new phone was going to be delayed until September, but now the world’s tech press are flip-flopping between that date and June for the developers conference.

Pictures have leaked online which reportedly show off the new handset with a new wider screen and improved camera.

It is believed Apple will follow its ridged annual product cycles and launch the revamped handset at its Worldwide Developers Conference at the start of June.

The latest picture show the bezel shrunk to tiny proportions as the screen has been stretched to 4-inches the most Apple has ever attempted, now were unsure whether this is artist impression or the actual phone, but we’ll know more real soon.

The only concerning detail is the fact that the phone has 6 rows of apps rather than the standard 5 – so an artist impression is very likely.

The developers conference is only a matter of weeks away but the rumours continue – so is Apple really ready to launch the successor to the iPhone 4?

The iPhone currently has a 2:3 screen ratio (320×480). The iPad has a 3:4 screen ratio, or, rotated, 4:3. I suspect the wider screen on the supposed iPhone 5 is a move to the same screen ratio as the iPad. The photograph supplied is obviously smaller, but the ratio should hold

The photograph measures roughly 105×143 screen area, which if you want to wiggle a bit, is pretty close to 108×144, which would, in fact, be a 3:4 screen ratio--the same as the iPad.

The site Alibaba has previously been a source of iPhone 5 case rumors as recently as March of this year when purported iPhone 5 cases appeared on the site.  However, these cases did not show the same type of flash design as this current rumor so it's therefore difficult to know if either are genuine or are completely false.

Sadly, given the quality of the image, it seems that this is just a poor effort using Photoshop.
