Interesting rumours have been coming in about the future of the iPod, iPhone & iPad, and they are pointing to that Apple are considering wireless syncing and a carbon fibre body.
It was revealed last week that Apple is looking for experts in carbon fibre - well that doesn't sound unreasonable.
We all know that a carbon fibre Apple device would be a lighter and stronger, and would look like the iDevice of a Formula 1 driver.
But today's rumour takes it a step further, wireless syncing that would eventually make it on to the whole family of devices.
Cult of Mac's anonymous source claims: "[Apple has] tried multiple different body designs and materials to get it to work well but it's been slow going. They have however found many improvements using a carbon fibre design"¦carbon fibre cases greatly improve Wi-Fi issues.
The story obviously mentions that Apple has just hired a Senior Composites Engineer, Kevin Kenny, who's got lots of experience building badass carbon fibre bicycles.
Wireless syncing is relatively simple to implement and would finally free Apple devices from that shiny white USB chord, they just need to up the quality of the Wi-Fi on board which isn’t great as we all know by now.
But a carbon fibre iDevice would be cool, we’ll keep tabs on this for you.
Would you want wireless syncing? And you’d still need a cable to charge it anyway.
