Music streaming is the current buzzword of the moment, whether it's Amazon cloud service, the amazing Spotify or Sony's Unlimited streaming service - everyone seems to be getting in on the act.
The PS3 got all musical recently allowing Playstation Network subscribers to pay a small amount each month, either £3.99 for a genre specific channel or £9.99 for Sony's full blow catalogue of millions of tracks to stream at their leisure through their Playstation.
Well the best-selling handheld in Japan, no not the Nintendo 3DS, but the PSP is set to get Sony's Music Unlimited streaming service on 14 April. That's the official word straight from Sony, which announced the news via its PlayStation blog.
Music Unlimited had been promised for the PSP by a Sony exec earlier this week, but it's a surprise that it's hitting the PSP so soon. Word is the NGP will also be loaded up with the service when it launches later this year.
You be glad to know that wonderful piece of tech seems to be really taking off, we have no doubt that Microsoft are try to woo Spotify and get a deal so that they too can have more music software on the Xbox 360.
We think that you likely to see a lot more devices offering flat rate all-you-can-listen-to music streaming service in a whole host of devices over the next few years.
Don't be surprised if you hear Stevie wonder coming out of your fridge, Abba in the car, Take That on the train - hell anywhere you might want to get music from a catalogue millions of tracks, you probably be able to over the next year or two. It really is the future.
