Preparations for the iPad 2 release are well under way. iMovie and GarageBand for iPad are available in the App Store starting today (for $4.99 each.)
And Apple have kindly reminded customers that rather than queuing for hours outside a store, customers can now order the new iPad from the comfort of their own homes starting at 1 a.m. Pacific time and 4 a.m. Eastern.
So what are the pros and cons of online delivery?
The pro's are obvious, no staying up until the earlier hours in the cold, no chance of waiting hours just to be sent home empty handed, generally less stress and hassle.
But buying online means customers miss out on the free personal setup service. But let's be honest only Noobs will really need this.
It all comes down to commitment VS comfort. True Apple fans won't miss the queuing and hassle for all the world, but those who just want an iPad without showing their undying devotion to Apple and don't mind waiting for delivery will be more than happy to whip out the laptop.
Further availability and pricing is imminent, we'll keep you informed.
