Today Bing has announced their new daily deals and deal search service in partnership with Thedealmap.com.

Local enquiry services are red-hot at the moment with Apps like Google Maps allowing us to search for restaurants, museums, hotels and the like wherever we are. The problem with these services though is that they don't take price into consideration and so you may be directed to the most expensive restaurant in the city.

This is where Bing's new toy comes in handy. Those on m.bing.com (the mobile device homepage) will be greeted with the 'Daily Deal Option' which will not only find the best deals in your area for anything from Tapas to haircuts to health-spas but it will also show you where to find these deals on a map à la Google Maps.

Here's a little guide on how to get the best deals with Bing.

1. Visit M.Bing.Com from your iPhone or Android device (or search Bing in your search engine)

2. Click 'Daily' to get the best deals of the day in your general area

3. Or to narrow results to your current location (within a few blocks) click 'Nearby'

4. You can also search for deals via their category

5. Or search for exactly what you want (like the Tapas example used by Bing)

Once you find the deal you like, you can save it, share it with a friend via email or claim the deal directly with the deal provider.

Here’s an example of the type of deal you might find.

50% Off, not too shabby hey?

Happy deal hunting

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
