When the Steve Jobs’ away the underlings will play it seems.
Tim Cook, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer has just increased the chances of us seeing an iPhone Nano sometime soon.
Cook confirmed that Apple is developing “lower-priced offerings” for the iPhone because the company doesn’t want its products to be “just for the rich.”
It's quite a move from Apple who seemed to love being marketed as the rich people's toy company. Perhaps this change of image has something to do with Steve's absence?
Either way, consumers have something to be smiling about. If they want to go whole hog and grab an iPhone they can, but all being well they may also soon have the option of a cheaper, budget version. Everyone's a winner.
That's if it ever happens though. It's all speculation at the moment and if Steve comes back he might have something to say about it all.
