HTC Thunderbolt was expected to be launched in February. Well, that didn't happen and now we are left waiting for the probable launch dates. According to the rumors, the phone launch has been delayed due to some problems related to its batteries. Apparently, there are some firmware issues which lead to battery related glitches and thus causing the delay. It is reported that the company is working on the fix.
The glitch is powerful enough that it leads to the battery draining out in two to three hours. The phone has already been delayed almost six times. Thunderbolt is more or less a glorified version of Desire HD. The phone packs an LTE modem in it and this could be one of the factor behind fast battery drainage as LTE devices are generally very power hungry. So, now that we know the real cause behind multiple postponement of release dates, we just hope that the company will be able to fix the issue at the earliest.
