If Dan Mead, CEO of Verizon, is to be believed then very soon you will be able to lay your paws on Apple LTE devices. Verizonconfirmed that it would be running Apple products on its LTE networks soon. These devices are likely to be iPad 2 and iPhone 5.
Does this mean that the iPad to be launched on March 2 is going to be a 4G device? Let's keep our fingers crossed for this one. Things are going to be tough for Motorola Xoom if Apple decides to go LTE way for iPad 2. As for iPhone 5, Apple COO Tim Cook had earlier stated that Apple had to drop the idea of adding 4G capabilities to its iPhone 4 on account of design compromises. Apparently, the company was not willing to negotiate its design for adding faster network capability. Although, we hope that the company has ironed out these hitches in the past one year. So let's wait to see what March 2 brings for us.
