Verizon Wireless already has iPhone 4 in its portfolio and looks like the carrier is planning to add Windows Phone 7 devices toits network as well. According to some rumors, Verizon may start selling WP7 devices by late March. It is expected to offer HTC 7 Trophy handset and the announcement date for this phone may be as early as February 28th. This is the same CDMA phone which will also be carried by Sprint. The device will be available for $200, with a two year contract.
The phone will arrive with "NoDo" update which is anticipated to provide copy and paste facility. The update is also expected to improve app start-up and resume times. The update has been ready for some time but has been delayed due to concerned from device manufacturers and developers. Microsoft had earlier announced that it would not be working on CDMA devices for some time but looks like now the company is ready to take plunge. Let's see how this new strategy pans out for Verizon and Microsoft.
