The new Macbook looks like it has finally broken cover as pictures have surface in tech blogs that appears to show a new port dubbed 'Thunderbolt' on the side of a new Macbook.
The leak comes via two European blogs, fscklog and MacBidouille, who have published the specs and a snap shot of the side of a 13-inch new MacBook Pro too.
According to reports the model will have SDXC memory card support, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a second gen Intel Core i5 2.3GHz processor, and most intriguingly, "Thunderbolt" support.
What's "Thunderbolt", we hear you ask? It's Apple's name for the connection that Intel has been working on under the name Light Peak - a super fast (10GBps) replacement for USB ports.
Apple has long been rumoured to have a hand in its creation, and Intel is expected to show off Light Peak in San Francisco tomorrow.

I realise it’s just a brand name but the thing uses LIGHT through a fibre optic cable and was originally called LIGHT Peak so why not call it “Lightning Bolt”. Thunder is just noise so you can’t have a bolt of thunder.
But then I suppose Apple have never really been particularly good at naming stuff and at least they didn’t call it iLight of something like that.
