Unfortunately gaming news is becoming tragically predictable now. It's a simple process of
-Hype
-Release date
-Winging and moaning
And people should be winging and moaning too! It's been said a thousand times before, but I'll say it again, when people pay top whack for games they expect it to work from day one, not to be struck by more bugs than internet explorer on a bad day.
The latest troublesome game is Test Drive Unlimited 2.
Symptoms include-
Server log-in problems,
Corrupted save files,
Player sunglasses that can’t be removed
Mysterious, phantom cars
Glitchy purple wheels.
PC Gamer reports that not just the console versions, but the PC edition too has been something of a mess online, with potential issues ranging from players getting stuck on the launcher, to cosmetic glitches in-game.
Atari’s said to expect fixes to start rolling out within the next 24 hours.
“We’re still seeing reports from players stating that they can’t log in. Getting this fixed is a high priority issue for us and we hope to have it fixed soon,” a spokesperson wrote on the game’s official forums.
But is it good enough to just patch things up after release?

Yeah it has been a colossal F@%K up – but the game is a lot of fun.
