Verizon iPhone 4 Has Atenna Issues…Will Apple Give Free Cases Away?

When the iPhone 4 was launched last summer, there were quite a few of us who complained about the antenna issues found on the phone. About 9 months and today we see the release of Verizon's iPhone 4. Surely after a major mess up, Apple would have fixed the problem by now ready for the release of Verizon’s new phone?

Well, it appears not to be the case as there may be an issue with the Verizon iPhone 4. Not only is it the dropping of bars which drop calls but also it is happening when web pages are being loaded.

Xavier Lanier from GottaBeMobile blog complained of 'activation problems and reception issues. Apple redesigned the iPhone 4"²s antennas before unleashing it on Verizon's network, but the exposed antennas are still vulnerable to the death grip.'

Also , you can see these issues in action in a video put together by iLounge so check it out below"¦

So if the problems continue do you think Apple to shell out more free iPhone 4 cases as compensation? Doe this put you off the Verizon iPhone 4? Leave your comments below"¦

Just got the iPhone 4 after having the iPhone 3 for almost 2 years. It SUCKS!! 2 or 3 bars when everyone else has 5 on the iPhone 3 and the same att network . Got a new sim card from the att store and a free bumper cover from the apple store still getting crap reception . Looking to change to verizon iPhone 4 while I still can but think it might just be a waste of time. If I can’t resolve this I will go to the droid or back to my old iPhone 3. Very disappointed in the dishonest way both apple and att have handled this matter !!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
