Watching your favourite shows from the BBC is going to get a whole lot easier, as the iPad is going to get an iPlayer app for iPad .
The BBC's Interactive operations manager, tweeted the news today - stating it will be a bespoke version of the iPlayer for the iPad and will be available from February 10th next week
Of course, it’s worth pointing out that you can already get the iPlayer on the iPad, just not in app form.
Marshall also detailed Inter-linking – the feature that links to non-BBC programmes to go live on the 8 February – presumably for the browser version of the iPlayer.
"Interlinking (the feature that links to non-BBC programmes) should go live on iPlayer tomorrow (8th Feb).#iplayer,” he said.
You'll be able to browse using 3G, but to watch you with have to be on a Wi-Fi connection to sample the sweet nectar of the best of the BBC.
As soon as it goes live we'll give you the low-down. Watch this space.
