So while every media junky was salivating over the News Corp's new daily newspaper 'The Daily' – Reuters were the only media organisation to notice that the new iPad was on show at the presentation or was it?
Now we watched the presentation from the Guggenheim museum and must admit we did notice a funny looking iPad, but to honest didn't put 2 and 2 together - from what we saw it could have been the new iPad 2.
News Corp Chairman Rupert Murdoch along with Apple executive Eddy Cue were on stage to unveiled the Daily, a digital newspaper created from scratch for the iPad at a press conference in New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim museum.
The Daily is Apple’s first foray into subscription sales through its iTunes store after having spent a year in talks with publishers with little progress.
According to Reuters one of their Journo's saw what appeared to be a working model of the next iPad with a front-facing camera at the top edge of the glass screen at a press conference to mark the debut of News Corp’s Daily online paper in New York on Wednesday.
So there you have it - the world’s leading press convened to a special presentation and out of a room hundreds it's the old work horses Reuters who were the only ones with the nouse to spot it - all tech journalist’s should hold their heads in shame. I know we are.
