Windows Phone 7 Update May Arrive on February 7th

Recently, we had reported about the imminent arrival of Windows Phone 7 update. Now, we have some more info about the update. Apparently, you can expect the update to arrive some time early February. Although, it looks like that the update will be available on February 7, some sources have indicated that it may be delayed by 7 days to 14th February. The update has been codenamed NoDo, which is short for No Donut, a very obvious attack on Google's sweet treats updates.

The rumors of February 7 launch date have been fueled by "a number of French sites", although February 14 seems more likely for the launch since Mobile World Congress will be underway at that time. The most sought after feature of the update is its "Cut and Paste" ability. Microsoft has also revealed that update will accelerate the performance of the phones. And also expect the App market to be more user-friendly.  So, if you own a Windows Phone 7 handset, then keep your eyes peeled on February 7th, as the update notice will be automatically displayed on your phone.

  • that’s not what “noDo” means, get the right info !

  • You may be right. Of course, Microsoft has not officially declared NoDo to mean ‘No Donut’. It is merely a conjecture which is floating around in the blogosphere.

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
