Following the leaked timetable for Mobile World Congress, more details about of an expected unveil of the new Samsung Galaxy S 2 have come our way via a press release to Samsung investors.
The press release outlines sammy’s plans - especially for the Galaxy S 2 - it said: "Samsung announced it will introduce the successor to its Galaxy S smartphone during the first half of 2011".
It added: "Featuring a dual-core processor and Super AMOLED Plus display to further enrich user experience."
These specs will be coupled with the enhanced Android 2.3 Gingerbread are sure to produce a smartphone that really can compete with Apple - there no details regarding price, release or availability - but were sure Samsung are going to unveil it at Mobile World Congress in February.
Samsung has also offered up some new information on the expected Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. In the same investor report the company wrote: "In the tablet market, Samsung will complement its Galaxy Tab with a range of devices to optimally meet various user needs." Can we expect a double unveil – we hope so.
