iPad 2 and iPhone 5 to Include Dual Core Processor at Launch

Smartphones have come a long way and are now filled with a colourful array of features which give you a phone, camera and console all in one.  One of the biggest and most talked about features on high end smartphones has to be the resolution of the display for users to be able to play graphic intense applications and games.

So after a recent statement by Digitimes announcing that ‘the chance is high' for Apple to include a dual core processor for their next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5, there maybe some truth in matter especially as we are seeing a growing graphics filled market.

It is expected that at the launch of the iPhone 5 we could see an updated version of the A4 chip currently used in the iPhone 4.  Also, it might also be that we won't have to wait until the summer release of the iPhone 5 before we get sight of the A5 CPU, as we are assuming that the iPad 2 will carry the dual core processor too.

Apple have always speculated that they would be enhancing their CPU for a long time now so it won't be surprising if we see an A5 chip surface on the iPad 2 and then later the iPhone 5.  With Samsung expected as the likely manufacturers of these processors, we will have to wait and see if more is revealed at the MWC in Barcelona next month.
