Let the tug of war begin. Soon after Verizon's announcement about unlimited data plan for iPhone 4 at mere $30 per month, AT&T
has come out with its own goodies. The Associated Press has reported that AT&T is offering unlimited data plans to some of its iPhone customers. The company had discontinued its unlimited data plans last year, but seems like it has given limited revival to the plan for avoiding mass exodus of its customers to Verizon.
Back in June last year, the company had transitioned from unlimited plan to cheaper but tiered data plans. The customers were given a choice to stick to their plan or to convert to the newer plans. Now, the company has given a second chance to the switchers to get back to unlimited data plan. Verizon, on the other hand, has confirmed that its unlimited data plan offer is good for limited time period only.
Verizon has priced its iPhone 4 hotspot feature for $20 per month. With this, you can tether your phone and can use its 3G service on other devices. The service will support up to five devices. The hotspot plan will have its own dedicated 2GB monthly quota.
