Sean Parker the founder of Naptster, has slammed The Social Network as a complete work of fiction, especially the way his character is portrayed by Justin Timberlake.
In a video posted to Youtube, Parker talks about quality of the film, praising the values – but then slams the portrayal of himself and how they treated Eduardo Saverin.
Parker is angry with the Facebook film for one particular scene where he mistreats Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin whose split with the company is a key moment in The Social Network. He says:
"The part of the movie that frustrated me is actually the scene at the end where the character played by Justin Timberlake -- who happens to have my name -- basically writes a check to Eduardo - who I'm also, I consider Eduardo a friend of mine, and I'm one of the few people at Facebook who still interacts with Eduardo - and throws it in his face and has security escort him out of the building. And I mean, that's just rude. This guy in the movie is a morally reprehensible human being."
What did you think of the Social Network? And especially Sean Parker’s character? Fair game or hollywood sensationalism?
