We all might be clamoring for white iPhone, but Motorola thinks otherwise. According to the creator of Xoom tablet, white iPhonemay still make splash in Chinese and Latin American markets, but North American consumers have certainly moved beyond the mighty white. The company's corporate vice president conceded that during last few years, customers were more partial towards white handsets but things have changed in the new decade.
Motorola's statement does seem to make sense since most of the mobiles displayed at just concluded CES were of the darker hue. Motorola also revealed that it has spent hefty amount on deeply researching consumer preferences about the designs and colors of the phones. The company conducted its surveys in eight different markets. Although, Apple has the reputation of being a trendsetter, but seems like in this case, the company got lethargic and missed the boat. But then Apple also has a way of surprising us. So, let's wait for the company to unveil its white iPhone and see how it is received by the masses.
