A brand new Google Nexus S with the model number GT-i9023 has been spotted on the FCC website, getting Nexus S fans excited as well as Android enthusiasts. It seems a lot of investigation has gone into discovering and trying to confirm the device and it's looking promising.
It has been confirmed that there is in fact an FCC filing for the GT-i9023, and it uses the AWS 3G band which is used by T-Mobile USA. Also, since it uses the same model number as the original Samsung Nexus S (GT-i9023) we can pretty safely say this will be a Nexus S device.
As well as this, people who have looked into the WiFi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG websites have discovered that the device has been certified. Finally, the device is being called by some European retailers the "Black Silver" Nexus S. The news of this new Nexus S device phone alone is pretty cool but wait, there's more.
I know I already said finally, but that's because this rumour should probably not be taken too seriously for now. A video (see link below) of the upcoming Nexus S courtesy of Best Boyz shows the device sporting Android 2.4 (well under version it says 2.4 anyway) so we could be seeing a new update very soon. If this is true, hurry up with getting Gingerbread out there Google (and Froyo actually).
