We all hope that we stepped into the New Year with a right foot; ready to fulfill new dreams, resolutions and plans. We all promised ourselves to be better and achieve new goals. But if you are a gadget geek yourself the most important moments of the year 2011 will be launches of new and exciting toys! So here, you go – the list of gadgets to look forward and splash your money on this year:
Apple iPad 2
The true iPad fans know that the new pad is due to launch early this spring. Release date, specs and price are still closely guarded secrets, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some juicy rumours about it. Reports suggest that Apple is expecting massive demand for the new device and has ordered six million units per month, I just hope that it would be enough!
The images of a new iPad case, which appeared online on 10th of December 2010, suggest that the iPad 2 will feature a rear-facing camera, its also expected to be thinner, more MacBook air like, with a faster processor and twice as much memory as an old one.
BlackBerry Playbook
Blackberry has finally announced its answer to Apple’s iPad with it’s new device and called it the Playbook. The Playbook is one of the first business-centric devices in the tablet market.
The device will have a 7-inch (18cm) screen with front and rear facing cameras to enable video conferencing, an important feature that will appeal to the business market.
It will also include Bluetooth and WiFi. It will have no 3G capabilities but will enable a data connection by tethering to a Blackberry smartphone. This gadget will become commercially available early this year.
Nintendo 3DS
Finally, glasses-free 3D gaming is already a reality. It’s hard to believe all this could be accomplished in such a short time after the reveal of the 3DS last June, but the “official word” for release is late 2011.
What does this mean for gamers? Pretty much that anybody who has already purchased a 3D television wasted their money. Considering you won’t need to buy or wear stupid looking glasses, it could easily make current 3D technology obsolete.
This technology will make gaming more immersive than ever before. The only problem left now is being able to afford this thing.
iPhone 5
Speculation seems to be growing surrounding the iPhone 5 release date following claims that people within the online community have been told that they can expect to see the iPhone 5 or iPhone 5G on the market as early as later this month.
The promise of new evolutionary features and corrections of the problems that were being reported with the iPhone 4 after its release.
It seems that almost every iPhone 4 user will be looking to get their hands on the new fifth generation of the phone.
PSP Phone
Sony PSP Phone, known as the Sony Ericsson Z1, is expected to hit stores in April following a Mobile World Congress unveiling.
A mooted Sony PSP Phone has been a key talking point in the tech world for a number of years now with speculation and expectation kicking into higher gear in recent months as a number of spy shots and reported hands on leaks have emerged.

Its not the iPhone 5G, remember the iPhone 4 was 3G so the 5th gen iPhone will be 4G!
