XBox 360 in solid gold to be won in Castle Crashers tournament

To celebrate the recent peak of over 2,000,000 XBox Live Arcade players of Castle Crashers – the brightly coloured, princess rescue based game (no, not Super Mario this time) – makers The Behemoth are holding a Tournament of Champions with a princely prize: a solid gold XBox 360, hard drive and controller.

Not just an impressive use of paint, the solid gold is actual 24K plating, and the console is still fully working. All you have to do to be in with a change of winning is be in the top 100 Weekly Ranked Arena players on the Castle Crashers leaderboards at noon (PST) on January 28th. The top 100 will compete in 1 on 1 Arena matches, in a single elimination tournament format on Saturday February 5th. Simples huh?

If you think you have what it takes, then call in ‘sick’ and get honing those fighting skills. Even if you don’t win gold there are runner up prizes too – second place wins a Castle Crashers themed XBox 360 Elite; third place gets you 250 squishy chickens (á la The Behemoth’s mascot); and everyone in the top 100 with get some kind of prize with the top 24 getting an unrevealed bonus too (probably something else chicken based!).

And don’t worry – anyone who has hacked their characters to above the maximum Level 99 is immediatly unelligable for entry!

An absolute tech junky, I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Computing and now live on the outskirts of Leeds working with you guessed it, Computers. I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
