No Android Updates for Sony Ericsson Xperia Phones

Here is a bit of bad news for Sony Ericsson Xperia owners. Sony Ericsson has now confirmed  that its Xperia range phones including Xperia X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro have hit a dead end and would not be getting any further Android updates. This means that there will not be any FroYo or Android 2.2 treat for these phone sets.

However, if you are planning to snag any of the new offerings from the company, then you need not fear as the company has assured that the issues which marred its Xperia range won't affect its future devices. The company also has said that faster OS updates will be its priority in 2011.

Sony Ericsson will be launching its Gingerbread or Android 2.3 wielding phone Sony Ericsson in the UK some time before March. The company yet has to chalk out its collaboration with the carriers and would be sending out the details in the near future.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
