Dell Gets FCC Approval for its 'Looking Glass' Tablet

Dell is apparently working on a 7 inch tablet and the rumor has been fueled by some new FCC approval documents. The tablet-in-work, codenamed, 'Looking Glass' had recently received its Wi-Fi Alliance certification. The tablet is likely to feature a 7-inch touchscreen and SD card support, which is a big step above iPad. The tablet is also expected to be compatible with 3G networks of both T-Mobile and AT&T.

Looking Glass will adhere to Wi-Fi 802.11n protocol and will support Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. The tablet will run Android mobile operating system, although it is not clear which version of Android this Tegra 2 processor equipped tablet will get. It is also yet to be seen whether this tablet will be able to make voice calls or not. Anyhow, the tablet is expected to make an appearance at Consumer Electronics Show next month. The show will be held in Las Vegas.

I love all things gadgety but really dislike wires. For those of you who haven’t worked it out the name of the site is a combination of my nickname (Gaj) and the pronunciation ‘Gadget’.
