Windows Phone 7 Marketplace is now sporting some apps, which indicate that the phones with Microsoft's mobile operating system may soon find their way to Verizon Stores. Microsoft currently is collaborating only with T-Mobile and AT&T. If rumors are to be believed then, Windows Phone 7 handsets may be available on Verizon network as early as January next year. What else, the Redmond-based company is also said to be in talks with Sprint for hawking its phones.
Microsoft had recently announced that it has shipped over 1.5 million handsets within 6 weeks of the Operating System's launch. However, it should be noted that the numbers provided by Microsoft pertain to the handsets shipped to distribution partners and not to the consumers. So, it would be safe to say that although, Microsoft's new venture is not a runaway success, but fortunately, it has not met the fate of 'Kin' either. So, let's just wait for WP7 to increase its reach and see how it plays out.
